During the wintertime, we provide our customers with pruning services. Due to the lack of leaves, it’s far easier to see the overall structure and what needs to be done. It’s like having an X-Ray available for your plants! Pruning in the wintertime can lower your overall maintenance costs during Spring and Summer. You can also help your tree by having us cut out branches that were diseased to begin with. This will help stop the flow of disease or fungi.
We still provide slight maintenance including mulching and tend to go an extra distance with your younger trees such as protecting them with burlap bags. This very activity will keep animals such as Deer from chewing on their bark and it should protect against harsh winds or ice.
Our staff will also inspect for current damage that wasn’t easily viewable before due to leaves. At this point, a lot of damage happens to occur during the winter. Once snow and ice begin to pile up, branches may visibly crack and possibly fall. We inspect around the trees as well and gather up as much info as possible to let you know whether a tree should be removed or not.
